Hendon's goals came through R.A. Noe and Daniel Garfinkel.

BEST OF THE REST

MILL HILL PROGRESS
AC MILL HILL 2 FAITHFOLD B 1
Two first-half strikes from talisman Ben Zloof guided Mill Hill into round three with a hard-earned victory over Division Two rivals Faithfold B.

Ben Rosenblatt registered for Faithfold with a twice-taken penalty. A clearance off the line at the end of the game prevented a possible equaliser.

Mill Hill boss Joe Levy told JC Sport: "We started the game very brightly and I felt we dominated the first half and could have come in at half time with a greater lead. We dropped off in the second half and let Faithfold back into the game, but in truth I thought we coped very well defensively. Overall I think we slightly edged it and look forward to going into the hat for the next round."

Faithfold manager Dan Yoss told JC Sport: "Our performance in the first 30 minutes cost us. It was a spirited effort, but unfortunately we had too much to do after conceding two early goals."

BLANCOS EDGE PAST RAIDERS
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 1 LOS BLANCOS 2
Second-half goals from Jono Gaon and Jeff Gross helped Los Blancos overcame what many believed was a potential banana skin as they squeezed past Raiders B 2-1.

Blancos interim-manager Jonathan Ison told JC Sport: "We fully deserved our win today and bossed the game for the majority of the 90 minutes. In true Blancos style, we went behind to a shock goal, but we bounced back and showed great character to get the next goal.

"Both goals came from Josh Gaon launching his missile of a throw into the box, with one of them being guided straight onto his younger brothers head, all 4 foot 3 of him. It was clearly a routine they have spent years working on in the garden!

"We'll take some great positives from this win and hope to march on with three points next week against Southgate Harmen."

RAMPANT RAIDERS POWER ON
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB C 1 NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS A 10
Premier Division table-toppers Raiders A flexed their muscles to notch up a perfect 10 against Division Three minnows Hendon C.

JOSH GREEN (4), David Rhodes (2), Matt Stock, Justin Spiro, Jonathan Peters and former manager Rob Richman rubber-stamped Raiders' smooth passage into the next round.

NLR boss Phil Peters told JC Sport: "We didn’t panic in the first 20 minutes when we couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net and by half-time the job was done and I was able to take off some of our big hitters and wrap them up in cotton wool ahead of the bigger tests we’ll be facing in the coming weeks.

Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "I thought we showed them too much respect in the first half and it was really frustrating to gift them several goals with individual errors...but credit to Norstar, at times I thought their touch, movement and skill were exceptional - certainly a different level to what we're used to playing against, and we couldn't cope with it."

"Hopefully this is the start of a nice cup run. Two back-to-back wins have been coming and now we just need to power on in the league.

L'Equipe boss Dan Cordell told JC Sport: "Overall we're happy with an away clean sheet, still unbeaten and looking forward to the next round. An away win with a clean sheet in a cup game in Essex is always a good result."

Loughton boss Dan Curtis told JC Sport: "I'm very pleased with the performance of the team today - unfortunately we just couldn't make our pressure tell.

"We were by far the better team for the whole match and L'Equipe scored against the run of play.

BRADY HIT NEASDEN FOR SIX
NORTH WEST NEASDEN A 1 BRADY MACCABI A 6
Brady hit Neasden for six in a tie they effectively had won inside the opening 25 minutes after racing into a 4-0 lead. ADAM ARNOLD led the way with three, with Jonathan Green, Rob Lerner and an own goal sealing an emphatic win.

NWN improved in the second half, with Dan Orgel scoring their consolation.

Brady joint-manager Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "We were missing a number of boys today, however we showed great composure all over the park and played some great football on a great surface. Give credit to NWN they kept trying to play football on the ground and will be a decent test for a lot of teams."

It was a result that new Neasden boss Stirling Kay would rather forget. He told JC Sport: "As a team were very pleased the way we reacted to the first half. We learnt that when you play top teams you have to pay for 90 minutes, not 45. But over 90 minutes it was a well deserved win for Brady."
