Strikes from Scott Oldstein and Sam Sollosi steered Redbridge B to the top of the table following a fiery encounter against Bilbaum.

Redbridge started brightly and were playing their high tempo passing game that has seen them outpass every team this season. A strange incident however saw Redbridge take the lead. Scott Oldstein was fouled by the Bilbaum full back who was being given a real going over by Oldstein and totally wound up by him. The ref allowed the game to carry on, but then brought the ball back for the free-kick a minute later.

Sam Rank delivered an inch-perfect ball and was met by the free header of Sollosi to bury the ball in the net.

One nil at half time was the least that the performance deserved with the hard working Adam Goldman really causing the Bilbaum defence problems.

It was from a shot by Goldman that Oldstein slid in to score to make it 2-0. This was followed by a disallowed goal by the returning Grant who finished off a fine move.

The game was then interrupted by a moment of madness by the Bilbaum linesman who out of sight of the ref, struck Oldstein in the face causing a melee between the players.

With the very calm management of Bilbaum and Redbridge, order was restored and the game was finished off with an outstanding finish by the Bilbaum striker Ben Bell making the scoreline look closer than their play deserved.

RJC boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "The boys fully deserved to win today and go top, now come and try and knock us off our perch.

"I am proud of these boys - they are committed to playing proper football and take risks to do it, that is what we want to do."
