DAVIS. Ruth (nee Solomons) and Adam are delighted to announce the arrival of their son, Ezra Rudy, on April 2, 2017. Mazeltov to sisters Evie and Lyla, grandparents Brenda Solomons and Ros and Paul Davis. Remembering at this time Sidney Solomons.

KRENDEL. Cassie (nee Grundman) and Daniel are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter, Sadie Madison, on Tuesday, April 11. Mazeltov to grandparents Jayne and Paul Krendel and Bradley Grundman on their first grandchild, to Silas Krendel on his first great-grandchild and to Marie Grundman on her fifth great-grandchild, and to great-great-grandmother Anne Lee. DEATHS

BLUME. Joseph (Joe). Sadly passed away April 18. Loved and sadly missed by wife Barbara, children Michelle and Laurence (Loz), family and friends. May he rest in peace.

BOURNE. Maxine. Our darling sister-in-law and aunty will be greatly missed by Jacky, Steven, Siobhan, Suzi, Lloyd and families.

COHEN. Barbara. Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017, aged 89. Adored and adoring wife of Basil for 62 years, inspirational mother of Hilary, Gerard, Eve and Josette, loving sister and sister-in-law of Manny and Brigitta, fond mother-in-law of Clive, Rosemary, Tony and Adrian, loving and devoted grandmother of her six grandchildren. Sadly missed by all of us.

COHEN. Katie. An angel taken away too soon. We will be eternally grateful for all her help. Our thoughts are with Daniel and families. Shalom.ª Tara, Raymond, Dylan, Jessica and Olivia.

FIELDS. Ruth. Our dearest aunt passed away on April 8, 2017. Missed but not forgotten by nieces and nephew Susan, Caroline and Robert and their families.

KELLMAN. Sylvia (nee Krisman). Our beloved Sylvia taken from us so suddenly on April 10, 2017, second seder night, at home in Reading. Sylvia was thoughtful, caring, kind and happy even through adversity. Her smiling demeanour made everyone around her feel good. She was always looking after someone and giving joy. She will be greatly missed and always loved by her beloved husband, her Ron, by her brother Alan, her sisters-in-law Sari and Sue, her brother-in-law Cyril, her loved nieces and nephews, all the Krisman family, the Kellman family and her countless friends. Everyone loved her.

KERN. Hyman. A husband, father, grandfather and friend. A giant of a man, with a legacy to match, who lived a full life until he died on Wednesday, April 12. Will be missed and loved by everyone.ª Adam, Suzanne, Sylvia, family and friends.

KERN. Hyman. We are saddened that Hyman has passed away. Our condolences to Sylvia, Adam, Julius, Cyril, Pauline and all the family.ª Jack and Muriel.

KINSLER. Martin. Died April 17, after a long illness, bravely borne, during which he never lost his sense of humour. Sorely missed by his sisters Valerie and Cynthia, brother-in-law Bill, wife Valerie, sons Vincent and Simon and granddaughters Evie, Lois, Gracie and Ava.

LABOVITCH. Hymie. We regret the passing of our president, dear friend and founder, who will be sadly missed. He was a man of great character, humour and huge intellect. The members of St John's Wood kiddush club will always cherish the memory of Hymie. Our sincere condolences go to his daughter Kate.

LANDES. Claude. Our much-loved father, father-in-law and grandfather peacefully passed away on April 14. Will be greatly missed by David and Lesley, Vivien and David, Nicola and James, Laura, Deborah, Claire and Sean.

LEVRANT. Mary (nee Rosenkrantz), olev hasholem. Passed away suddenly April 4, aged 98. Wonderful mother to Paul and Stephen, incomparable grandmother, stalwart sister to Bella and Yetta. Joins her beloved husband Mossy and sister Esther in everlasting life. The most charming and philosophical matriarch, always a cheerful word among the worries, and the confidante and love of all who were privileged to know her. Inconsolably missed by so many friends and relatives, whom we thank for all their kind words and thoughts. There is a void in our lives now filled with joyous memories.

LEVY. Betty. Passed away peacefully on March 31, aged 90. Deeply mourned by her brother Aaron (Arnold), sister-in-law Joyce, nieces and nephews. Forever in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.

LIPTON. Gerald Julian MBE. My unique and beloved husband of 44 years passed away peacefully on April 9. He was my champion, funny, wise, charitable and a mentor to many. I will miss him so much and he will remain in my heart and mind forever.ª Wendy.

LIPTON. Gerald MBE. Much-loved and deeply mourned by his eldest daughter Carolyn, son-in-law Nicky, grandchildren Alex and Charlie and Charles and great-grandchildren Freddie, Colette and Arabella.

LIPTON. Gerald. Will be sadly missed by his daughter Jane, son-in-law David, grandchildren James Henry, Clara and Guy. He will always be in our thoughts.

LIPTON. Gerald MBE. A loved father, admired father-in-law and very special grandpa. A void has been left; we are heartbroken.ª Sam, Danielle, Sophia, Annabelle and Jonah.

LIPTON. Gerald. A wonderful father, father-in-law and grandfather to Tim, Katie, Layla and Freya. To say he will be missed is the greatest understatement. Much loved and admired and his legacy will live on.

MILLER. Helene. Died on April 7. A luminous personality, who brightened the lives of family and friends. Sorely missed by all her family.ª Sylvia and Jack, Ashley and Rachel, Steve and Helena, Katherine, Owen, Arieh and Tanya.

MOSS. Amanda. On April 2, age 53, a beautiful, shining light has left us brokenhearted, so young with so much more to give. So proud of all she achieved. She leaves a legacy of love for all who knew her.ª Mother Yvonne, brother Darren with Obrenka and Amanda's partner Adrian.

MOSS. Amanda. I am heartbroken at the loss of my beautiful niece, taken from us far too soon, having fought her illness so bravely. Always on my mind, forever in my heart.ª Lucille (Auntie Lulu), together with Martin, Marc, Rebecca, Ethan, Mia, Freya, Gary, Francesca and Xylo.

MOSS. Amanda. Deeply saddened by the passing of our dear, loving, lifelong, special friend and will cherish memories of our times together. She will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to Adrian, Yvonne and Darren.ª Sonia, Gary, Sharon and families.

NEAD. Esther. A much-loved elder sister and aunt. A wonderful companion, who was always ready with a smile; she was ladylike and elegant to the end.ª With love, Betty and family.

RAJBENBACH. Phyllis. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on April 7, 2017, aged 91 years. Deeply mourned by daughter Ingrid, son Stephen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

RICH. Harvey. Passed away suddenly on April 14. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Evelyn, children Gillian and Steve, grandsons Michael, Adam, Jacob and Zachary, daughter-in-law Aviva, family and friends.

RICH. Harvey. My dear brother passed away suddenly on April 14. A kind, gentle and sensitive man, who was loved by all. He will be sadly missed by his sister Frances, brother-in-law Martin and their family.

SIMON. Allan. The "perfect gentleman", will be sadly missed by his sister Rosie, son Gary and daughter-in-law Karen, daughter Karen and son-in-law Leo, grandchildren Mark, Adam and his wife Laura, Michelle and her husband Dan, Clare and her husband David, as well as all his great-grandchildren Mya, Zac, Chloe, Nicholas and Jessica whom he greatly adored.

SIMON. Allan. Will be so sadly missed for his friendship, cheery nature and family love. Our deepest sympathies go to Karen and Gary, his loving children who were always there for him.ª Norman, Sandra, Richard, Sarah and Emma.

SPIRO. Phyllis. In memory of our beloved mother Phyllis, who passed away peacefully at home aged 99, surrounded by her loving family. She will be forever in our hearts.ª Denise, Heather, Gaye and Joanne.

TOUBKIN. Walter. My beloved husband passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, after a long illness bravely borne. He was the glue that held the family together and will be missed so much by all his family and friends. I will never forget him. Until we meet again.ª His loving wife Rita.

TOUBKIN. Walter Milton. We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved Uncle Walter, devoted husband of Rita, who will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and all of their families. Never to be forgotten.

TOUBKIN. Walter. A sorrowful salute to friend and comrade Walter, who was in the Israeli Airforce in the War of Independence. A remarkable character, with an ever-ready smile. Inventor of note, acclaimed for sea-depth sounder and direction finder.
