Jewish mental health charity Jami has hosted visitors from a similar Israeli organisation in what is hoped will be the start of a productive long-term relationship.
During a London trip, five representatives of Enosh, the Israeli Mental Health Association, met members of the Jami team to discuss strategies.
Their programme included a joint Friday night dinner, visits to Jami facilities and a session examining its work.
The Israelis told their Jami counterparts about their efforts to encourage openness when it came to discussing mental health issues.
"We went through lots of ideas that we would like to put into practice," explained Enosh volunteer Jeffry Krygier.

Jami chief executive Laurie Rackind said the charities "learnt a lot from each other.
"It was a chance for them to see what we do and to discuss ideas and improvements."
He hoped that a reciprocal visit could be made to Israel.
