Dudi Sela has returned to the top 100 and qualified for the Australian Open after winning the Suzhou Open in China – the Israeli’s 19th Challenger title.

Sela of Israel beat Matija Pecotic (207) in the final after the Croatian retired injured in the second set after Sela won the opener 6-1.

The win saw Sela rise from 113 in the ATP rankings to 92. Victory in China brought Sela’s 2015 prize money to almost £200,000 and career winnings to £1.7m.

Shahar Peer, 28, has confirmed reports that she is considering retiring. “I will make a decision in the coming few weeks,” she said.

In recent weeks, she has been beaten by players ranked 758 and 968. Currently ranked 173, she achieved a highest ranking of 11 and has won more than £3m in tournament prize money including six titles.

Shelly Krolitsky has been called into Tzipi Obziler’s Federation Cup squad after winning Israeli junior under-18 women’s title. Yshai Oliel, another graduate from The David Squad run by British businessman and philanthropist David Coffer, earned his first points on the ATP circuit.
