Goals look guaranteed for Hendon United Sports Club B following the arrival of Gideon Gale and Adam Ellis.
But there was an air of caution in terms of their hopes for the season with the new management team of Jono Nesbitt and James Neidle.
Expect many good things from Gideon Barth in a season where a mid-table finish is the target.
Nesbitt told JC Sport: “We’re looking to get accustomed to the new league, but will bring a lot of grit and determination to each game, and I think will cause a number of upsets due to high energy performances.”
COMPETITIONS ENTERED:
MGBSFL Division 1, Cyril Anekestein Cup and Peter Morrison Trophy
HOPES FOR THE SEASON:
Mainly looking to get accustomed to the new league, would like to finish in a comfortable mid-table position to give us something to improve on for next year
PLAYERS IN & OUT:
Two of our biggest losses in midfield were Avi Mocton and Ben Blackstone while Gideon Caller left a large hole in the defence.
We have added pace and determination with the acquisition of Stuart Harris and Jamie Nessim, and have hopefully added a lot of goals through signing Gideon Gale and Adam Ellis
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Besides for the boys, Gid Barth will most likely be playing in a more central position this season which should see him getting his name in the headlines far more often
WHAT WILL THE TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON?
We will bring a lot of grit and determination to each game, and I think will cause a number of upsets due to high energy performances, and pace on the wings and up-front to counter attack
