Sam Hatton fired a double to maintain Manchester Maccabi 1st charge towards the Accountants Premier League title.

Just goal difference is keeping Scott McGarvery's men off top spot. And with a game in hand, their championship bid is in their own hands.

Hatton’s brace was enough to see off Sporting Manchester and Maccabi assistant-manager Gellman said: "It's an old cliche but we have to take it one game at a time.

"I'm confident we can achieve our aims this season. The group are working hard to ensure we do that this season. We have worked hard and hopefully we can be rewarded.

"But there’s still a lot work required ahead of us. Nothing is done and dusted yet."

In Division Two, Manchester Maccabi 2nds romped home 4-1 against title rivals Stretford United, with Jason Hamburger and Ben Gould among the scorers.
