DANNY CARO'S GOAL OF THE WEEK - STEVE SUMMERS

-------------------------------

THE CONTENDERS
1. SIMON PETERMAN (Hendon A) - "you simply will not see a better header at this or any level - excellent cross from Lee Sieradki was brilliantly met by Peterman who rose majestically to head in vital winner into the top corner"
2. JACOB RICHLER KLEIMAN (Oakwood B) - GOAL 2 - a gem, as he took the ball out of the air with one touch before lobbing the oncoming keeper to put Oaks 3-2 up
3. JOHNNY HAIK (Faithfold A) - GOAL 3 - Ronaldo-esque half volley from right side of the box nestled in the top
4. STEVE SUMMERS (Redbridge A) - rolled his marker, bought himself a yard, and having spotted the keeper off his line, chipped him from 25 yards‎, floating it into the top corner of the net. Keeper stood no chance. Exquisite. Haven't seen him score many better!

DANNY CARO'S QUOTE OF THE WEEK

-------------------------------

THE CONTENDERS
1. MITCH YOUNG (FC Team B) - "We were simply brilliant in the first half, the interchanges between our front four and the football we played was excellent"
2. ZURIEL SOLOMON (Faithfold A) - "We were a different team in the second half and a few alterations in positions enabled us to gain the momentum"
3. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "All credit to Harmen - they played exceptionally well and will be a real handful this season - they can take points off any team in this league and we are delighted to have got this game under our belt. Great match though and a marvellous advert for our league"
4. JON ISON (Los Blancos) - "Jon Ison told JC Sport: "We've always known ourselves to be a much stronger force in the second half of games, but the resolve we showed still came as a big surprise"
5. JACOB KADOCH (King Crown) - "David Wolff came to watch the game and said he was very impressed with King Crown and was a pleasure to watch. He has reserved a ticket for a future game of King Crown"
6. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "While I wouldn't want to compare myself to the esteemed Walter Mondale, I imagine this is how he felt in 1977 when he became the first Vice President to keep a permanent office in the West Wing. Just as that was a new dawn in greater relationships between the Office of POTUS and VPOTUS, I feel like this is a new beginning between the As and Bs. The theme of this week is Better Together and that's how we feel at Oakwood. One club, one purpose, one union"
7. JAMES LEWIS (KS REUNITED) - "While we are disappointed not to have got a fully deserved equaliser, the manner in which we worked our way back into the game is certainly cause for encouragement as the season wares on"
8. JOEL ALTERMAN (Harmen) - "For our first game of the season with a new squad and in a tougher league than last year, we are very happy with the performance we put out today"
9. ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - "All four debutants, Mannie, Joseph, Rutovitz and Hershman played well and have integrated nicely into the team - in truth we are just scratching the surface with this side and there is a lot more to come from us"
10. STIRLING KAY (NW Neasden) - "We want to play against the best and we did today - they did to us what we did to Woodford last week"
11. JULIUS JUDAH (Athletic Bilbaum) - "As our season continues and our fitness improves, we will again continue to inspire the youth of today and the footballers of tomorrow"
12. JEREMY BROWN (London Rovers) - "There is still a very long way to go but we have had the start I was hoping for"
13. JOSH DAGUL (Brady Maccabi) - "I thought we were very unfortunate not to come away with three points today - conceding off a penalty and two own goals is something of a nightmare day at the office"
14. SAM ROSENTHAL (Redbridge A) - "It was a very satisfying win away from home against a side who will be there or thereabouts come May"
