North London Raiders B extended their lead at the top of Division One with an 8-2 victory over Southgate Harmen B. But the match was marred by a broken leg suffered by Harmen's Daniel Henig.
Hat-tricks from David Dinkin and Nicky Woolf plus a brace from Jonny Hesselberg took Raiders eight points clear but the result meant little to manager Rob Richman.
"The win is completely overshadowed by the injury," said Richman. "Everyone at Raiders wishes Dan the best and hope that he is back playing football as quickly as possible. I'd like to thank Harmen for getting the game completed in difficult circumstances."
Harmen boss Mark Engel said: "The commitment of the boys is unquestionable. Dan's break from a strong 50-50 challenge was really unfortunate. He will be missed for the rest of the season.
"The intensity, increased pace and physicality of football these days means a lot more stress on the body. The MSFL is no exception. Stresses, strains, the lack of protection from refs and the general demands of life means MSFL footballers are getting injured more frequently. We had 20-plus players at the start of the season. We are now down to barely 11.
"It is no wonder clubs are struggling to play fixtures. Harmen is well run, and yet both our teams are struggling with injuries and availability. It's the worst season across the board for injuries and broken bones. I hope the situation improves."
London Maccabi Lions A returned to winning ways with Jordan Marks (2), Jon Green (2), Yoav Lebens and Ollie Leslie on target in the 6-1 demolition of Southgate Harmen A in the Premier Division. Lee Greenfield grabbed a consolation.
Five goals from Jerome Marks helped Woodford Wanderers get their promotion bid back on track with an 8-2 success over FC Team B. Elliot Winner, Harrison Midda and Elliot Gold completed the rout. FC Team's goals came through Freddie Marks and Dave Silver.
Chaim Gothold (3), Danny Steel (2), Gav Noe and Pinty Baddiel inspired Hendon United Sports Club B to a 7-3 victory over L'Equipe. The home side finished with nine men after Yoni Conway and Daniel Cordell were dismissed following two cautionable offences.
Glenthorne United B are top of Division Four after thumping title rivals Inter Borehamwood 4-1. Fabio Revieccio, Daniel Lassman, Jordan Sapler and 16-year-old supersub Josh Wynne were the marksmen. Jerome Colmans registered for Borehamwood.
Strikes from Gideon Gold, Jason Lindsay and Dave Lusman helped Shirley Park leapfrog cup semi-finalists Los Blancos into third spot. Dany Kon bagged a brace for Los Blancos.
Benny Goldberg and Haki Elias were among the goals as Hendon C edged past North London Raiders C 3-2. Jack Franks and Joe Newton replied.
Assi Avital and Danny Jacobs exchanged hat-tricks as UJIA drew their JC Barry Goldstein Cup Group B opener against Zig Zag.
