NOMINATIONS
FAITHFOLD A
Captain Avi Mocton, Aaron Luftig and Josh Wagner (ALL CB) - our performance was built on a rock solid defence which started with our three centre backs who shackled both Garfinkle and Summers the entire game. They were a perfect cohesive unit and all three were quite simply faultless
Leor Harel (RWB) and Gideon Caller (LWB) - Our two wing backs were up and down the entire game, on the right. Nothing got past them at all but also exploited the space in front of them brilliantly, they went marauding forward at any and every opportunity and were the key to most of our attacks
David Leiwy (RW) - was superb, he ran their left-back ragged from start to finish
Avi Garson (CM) - strong in the tackle and brought the ball forward wonderfully.
Luis Nagten (CM) - man-of-the-match and simply unplayable. Time seemed to stand still when he had the ball, Redbridge couldn't get near him and were chasing his shadow all day. He always made the right decision, whether that was a short, simple pass, beating a man or the perfect through ball. He must've nutmegged Redbridge on at least eight separate occasions. Got a deserved goal to go with his performance
Chaim Bordon (ST) was up top for us and it can be lonely but he worked himself hard to not give Redbridge time and space and held the ball up fantastically to bring others into play. Got himself on the score-sheet too
------------------------------
CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Gavin Fox (CB) and returning Richard Adams (CB) who has been away for a year were outstanding in centre defence and bar the goal look in total control
------------------------------
BAYERN MINCHA
Jake Dayan (captain) and Samuel Leader (vice-captain) - both ruled the midfield
Samuel Kanter (LB) - a solid performance. Nothing went passed him
------------------------------
SCRABBLE FC
Josh Pugh (CM) - outstanding performance from the captain who twice got on the scoresheet
Oli Richardson (LB) - superb defending strong in the tackle and didn't waste a pass
Dan Stock (HM/CM) - first-half holding midfielder, second half central defender always in the thick of things at the heart of the Scrabble side
Jonny Mervish (GK) - made some important saves at crucial moments on the L'Equipe counter-attacks
------------------------------
REAL HENDON
Raffy Zysblat (GK) - outstanding on his debut, against Lions White in the cup
Hezzie Raymond (LW) - ran his heart out up and down the left wing
------------------------------
HERTSWOOD VALE
Joni Hirschowitz (GK) - Outstanding throughout, making save after save where required. Topped off his performance with an excellent one handed save from Adam Ellis’ penalty. Best keeper in the league
------------------------------
LOS BLANCOS
Svi Freedman (CM) - me Svi Freedman, a real powerhouse in the middle
------------------------------
STRAW HAT PIRATES
Saul Tiano (RB/GK) - a solid performance from Tiano at RB suddenly became a solid performance from Saul Tiano in between the posts after stand-in keeper went off injured. Immediately offered to go in selflessly putting the team first and put in a great performance in both positions
Ben Rosen (CM) - a solid debut from one of our latest signings. Flirted with us in pre-season but Lions managed to tempt him back for the start of the season as he has a long history with Rowely Lane. However, secret meetings took place and Rosen was able to join at the last minute and produced a man-of-the-match display helping dictate our play and got a goal to show for it
James Van Straten (LB) - a new signing who immediately proved how much of an a asset he is going to be for the squad. The scouting department at Straw Hat HQ found this gem of a free agent and today's rock solid performance showed how much of a talent he is and an asset he will be going forward
