Hero Hershkorn ends Raiders’ cup dream

Premier Division South Manx edged into the third round of the Peter Morrison Trophy after beating JC MSFL Division Two leaders North London Raiders B 5-3. Rob Hershkorn (3), Darren Harris and Jonny Haik netted for the Manx. James Foley-Comer, Lewis Blitz and Elliot Espinoza replied.

Manx manager John Nitka commented: “We didn’t play well, especially on the 3G surface at Brunel. Credit to NLR B for not allowing us to play.”

Two goals from Lloyd Becker took Southgate Harmen A one point clear at the top of Division One as they drew 2-2 against promotion rivals Montana Boca United A. Simon Peterman and Gary Cohen were the Montana marksmen.

Camden Park registered their first points and goals of the season after beating Red Sea 3-2. Gideon Barnett, Lee Levinson and Darren Saffer struck for Camden. Red Sea’s goals came through Ben Nassim and Simon Wayne.

Three goals from Alex Hershman lifted Southgate Harmen B into second place in Division Two. They beat Faithfold B 4-0. Simon White grabbed the other.

Eddie Walton (2), Louis Florentin-Lee (2), Luigi Minale and Guri Singer steered Holy Mount Zion to a 6-1 victory over 10-man FC Team B in Division Two.

An 85th-minute pitch-long punt from goalkeeper Tom Legois proved decisive as FC Marylebone beat Zig Zag 2-1. Yaniv Ohana put Marylebone ahead before Danny Fenton levelled. Legois’ winner came via a drop-kick clearance that travelled the distance of the pitch, deceived Zig Zag keeper Jonathan Tiller and bounced into the net.

Moishe Noe (2) plus one from Daniel Braunold earned Hendon United D victory over promotion chasing Glenthorne United B in Division Four. Callum Stein replied.

A Joel Kutner double helped Blizzard Storm come from behind to win the basement battle against Highgate & Muswell Hill. Marc Benamram replied.

Fourteen matches, including the entire Premier Division programme, were postponed.
