Haroldeans produced a five-star show as Adam Shiffman bagged a hat-trick for the second successive week.

The Merseysiders romped home against South Manchester 2nds to remain firmly hot in the heels of leaders Leeds Maccabi.

Adam Shiffman grabbed four goals while Ali Goldsmith added the gloss in a comfortable win for the visitors.

Haroldeans boss Jamie Harris said: "This was another outstanding performance from the lads against tough opposition.

"We were dominant for the entire game, and despite difficult conditions, we managed to keep the ball down and score some fantastic goals.

"That's seven league wins in a row now. We need to keep the momentum going in the last three games of the league season and into the cup competitions."

South Manchester boss Marc Magid said out of his car window upon a swift exit from the uni pitches, "Wednesday can't come quickly enough for both teams. Many of the boys have already set their Sky+ to record Citeh as we look to put right this week's nightmare.

"I am thrilled that Mark Stewart has committed to training as he is a real role-model for the young boys to follow - a role he has really taken on board this year."

Elsewhere, Mike Gatswirth (2) inspired Reich Insurance Rangers to a 3-2 win over Oakhill Lions. Michael Crosby also netted against the students.

Reich finished with 10 men after Levy Cohen’s red card, but they held on to climb into fourth spot.

Maccabi Manchester Yellow claimed a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Manchester Blue to book a semi-final spot in the Harold Feldman Trophy.

Moshe Hasid and Richard Caplan were among their goalscorers in the inter-club derby at Brooklands.
