Danny Caro's Team of the Week: January 17

Players from Maccabi London Lions A and B and Finchley City grabbed the headlines in the last eight of the Cyril Anekstein Cup, while there were also a string of superb performances in the MGBSFL on Matchday 17.

1. YOSSI LANNING (Finchley City) – “saved a penalty and made a couple of other brilliant saves. Was commanding on crosses and displayed one of the best goalkeeping performances we have seen all season”

2. DOVI VOGEL (RC UK FC) – “played CB, CM and RB all in the same game, grabbed the first with a deft finish and assisted the second with a lovely ball over the top that was finished from the edge of the box with a pinpoint chip over the goalkeeper and into the far top corner”

3. DANIEL BEHAR (ML Lions B) - "Absolutely terrific, up and down the pitch from left back, worked his socks off and got an assist for Bloom's second"

4. ALEX LEE (Oakwood A) – “solid display on his return to the side following a lengthy lay off with a foot injury. Huge player to have back involved”

5. JAMIE JACKSON (ML Lions A) – “bossed the centre midfield in the second half”

6. YOSSI GOLDBERG (Real Hendon) – “won every tackle and header against MH Dons”

7. BEN LAUFFER (Oakwood A) – “his best performance in an Oaks shirt. 2 goals and a controlled display in the number 10 role behind Leor Sidle”

8. MATT BERKLEY (Redbridge JC B) – “two very composed finishes. An impressive performance”

9. ADAM ARNOLD (ML Lions A) – “put in an energetic performance, scoring 2 crucial goals to seal the tie against Hendon”

10. SAM CASTLE (Brady Maccabi) – “unplayable throughout the game and bagged himself a first half hat-trick”

11. JOSH BLOOM (ML Lions B) - didn’t start the game, but coming on after 30 minutes showed his true quality, class and passion. Scored two goals in 15 minutes to put Lions ahead going into half time"
