A JFS team of year-9 girls proved they knew their numbers when they beat more than 300 schools to win a maths competition at Edgehill University.
Apart from the joy of victory, they also secured £1,500 of equipment for their school.

Also celebrating was sixth former David Launer, who was runner-up in a science essay competition run by Peterhouse College, Cambridge. Judges were so impressed that an abridged version of his entry will be published in a medical journal.

Meanwhile, a fashion show at the school last week, which featured Israeli supermodel Havi Mond and the designs of James Lakeland, raised nearly £8,000 for JFS projects.
