Ruby Wax, the self-proclaimed poster girl for mental health, is back in London with her new show Frazzled.

The author and comedian will take up residency at the Leicester Square Theatre from the end of this month, following a tour of the UK.

The famous redhead has dubbed her one-woman show “your passport to saner living”.

In 2013 Ms Wax, who has a long history of clinical depression, obtained a Masters degree in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford to increase her understanding of the brain and the science behind it.

Two years later she received an OBE for her services to mental health and she has continued her work as a committed and passionate campaigner for improved awareness and care.

Posting on her website, Ms Wax said of her new show: “This series of events is a follow up to my sell-out touring show, and best-selling book 'Sane New World', which helps us understand why we sabotage our sanity with our own thinking.

“The forum is an opportunity to engage in discussion with me to explore further the power of mindfulness practice and how it can be applied in daily life.

“This event is your passport to saner living. I might not be sane myself but I do a pretty good imitation!”
