#NotJewish has been trending in solidarity after a far-left Twitter account blocked scores of people, including many Jews, who criticise it over Labour antisemitism.
Labour Left Voice said it had moved to block people who were "persecuting" it.
On Monday, food critic Jay Rayner was among those who had never interacted with the account to suddenly notice he was blocked.
Curious. I have no recollection of ever interacting with @LabLeftVoice, but they've blocked me anyway. Clearly they don't want one of those pesky Jews looking at their tweets.

After several people in the Jewish Labour Movement noticed they had been blocked, the JLM's Jack Mayorcas asked Jewish people who were blocked by the account, despite never interacting with them to reply to him - and received 1,800 replies.
If you are Jewish and have also been blocked by @lableftvoice despite never interacting with them, please add to the thread ⬇️ https://t.co/uwiXVvM37T

But those who were not Jewish and were also targetted by its blocking mechanism tweeted in solidarity and #NotJewish began trending high on Twitter.
One person speculated they may have been blocked for posting a photo of bagels.
#NotJewish Gutted that #LabLeftVoive blocked, no idea why? Could it be, I posted a picture of sliced bagels? Sally, please let me know.......

Sally?
Are you there, Sally......

Others said they were proud to be blocked, with one saying it may be because of his "strong and principled stance against antisemitism".
I am #NotJewish but have been blocked by @LabLeftVoice - presumably because of my association with Jews and my strong and principled stance against antisemitism - so I must be doing something right!

I am delighted to say that although I am #NotJewish and have never interacted with @LabLeftVoice I have been blocked. What a tribute. I suspect all friends of the amazing @stephenpollard have been blocked.

Critic Giles Coren, who is Jewish but was raised secular, said being blocked by the account meant it "turns out I AM Jewish".
I was brought up by lapsed Jews, didn’t get barmitzvahd (or however the fuck you spell it), don’t believe in God, don’t have a big nose, can’t read Hebrew, married a shikse. But I just tried to look at @LabLeftVoice and, phew! It turns out I AM Jewish. (Do i put #NotJewish now?) pic.twitter.com/yN7HzuhmKe

Actress Tracy Ann Oberman thanks those tweeting in support, saying: "Your solidarity and tweets are hilarious and goodly."
Thank you to all those tweeting #NotJewish in response to being on the Corbyn Hate Site @LLV block list. Your solidarity and tweets are hilarious and goodly. X
