Israel and the UK are reportedly negotiating a Covid-19 vaccine swap.
Israel, which currently has an excess of doses, is offering to ship around one million of its Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines that are due to expire on July 30 to the UK, Channel 12 reported on Wednesday.
In exchange, Israel would receive an equivalent number of vaccines that the UK is due to receive from Pfizer in September.
According to Channel 12, shipments could begin as soon as next week.
Israel has already given two doses of the Pfizer vaccine to nearly 60 per cent of its population, including the vast majority of over-50s.
This has allowed the country to scrap nearly all of its Covid restrictions, with restaurants, cafes, schools and cinemas fully reopened.
