Shisler standing down

articlemain

Rabbi Geoffrey Shisler is standing down as minister of the New West End Synagogue after 14 years' service.

He said he had enjoyed his time with the "fine" central London community and hoped "that this historic congregation will go from strength to strength".

Shul chair Henry Magrill said the rabbi and his wife Anne would be "greatly missed. They have displayed a rare combination of love and respect for our local traditions whilst combining these with an acceptance of new ideas. We are sad that they are retiring but we look forward to building on their legacy and welcoming a new rabbi in the near future."
