Pears' gift to Norwood

articlemain

Norwood is using a £150,000 windfall from the Pears Foundation to develop its services.

Along with colleagues from the Philanthropy Review, Pears Foundation executive chair Trevor Pears recently called on business leaders, philanthropists and the government to make charitable giving easier.

"Our family foundation is pleased to be able to increase its support for Norwood to help them to continue to deliver the important services that our community is justly proud of," Mr Pears said.

"We also hope this donation will encourage those that can to consider increasing their own donations over the coming year so that together we can protect these services."

At Norwood, chief executive Norma Brier was "delighted to be working in partnership with the Pears Foundation. Their donation will greatly assist Norwood during this difficult financial period."
