A Shabbaton staged by the Gloucestershire Liberal Jewish Community attracted more than 60 Liberal and Reform members from the locality and other areas including Bristol, Swindon, Herefordshire and Herts.
Held in conjunction with Leo Baeck College's Department of Jewish Education, the programme began with a study breakfast with Liberal Judaism chief executive, Rabbi Danny Rich.
The morning service, led by Rabbi Anna Gerrard and cantor Gershon Silins, was followed by leadership workshops, creative arts, dance and music sessions and text study. LJY-Netzer ran a programme of events for youngsters.
"The Shabbaton was a celebration of small Jewish communities and an opportunity to share ideas and be inspired by each other," Rabbi Gerrard said.
