Rabbi Nancy Morris has left Glasgow Reform Synagogue after eight years in the pulpit.

Members were informed that the departure was the result of a combination of circumstances - the shul's financial situation, the rabbi's health and her "new horizons" following her marriage last year.

The rabbi said she had met "some amazing people" and enjoyed "many more ups than downs". During her tenure, Glasgow Reform had become well respected among the wider Jewish community and the city's other faiths.

"Speaking at the Scottish Parliament was a highlight of my time, ensuring the Reform voice was heard where it matters."
