Talented young performers can still enter Emunah's Young Musician of the Year contest, held in conjunction with the JC.
It is open to 11-18-year-olds and the categories are brass, piano, solo voice, string, woodwind and percussion. Heats will be staged later this month and finalists will take part in a showcase concert in March. Proceeds will go the Lord and Lady Sacks Music Therapy Programme, supporting children from difficult backgrounds at Emunah centres in Israel.
The closing date for entries is January 12 and a registration pack can be downloaded from the www.emunah.org.uk site.
