The GB Track and Field squad selected comprises 10 juniors and two Open athletes.

Assistant Team Manager Yanina Fish said: “The squad are very accomplished in their chosen events and we are confident they will all be competing for medals. Everyone has been training hard and competing for their Athletics Clubs and schools, while achieving good results and improving all the time.”

“Apart from Jo Ankier, this will be the squad’s first Maccabiah Games, although some athletes, including myself, have competed at the JCC Games in America.

“As with all Maccabiahs we expect a high standard of competition and our squad has been selected from those athletes who have proved they can compete at that standard.

“As well as focusing on their individual events, the Track Team are so excited to be part of ‘The Maccabi GB Team’ and look forward to supporting the whole Squad while enjoying the life experience of the Maccabiah.”
