DAVIS CUP Andy Ram believes that Israel will need to overcome all the odds to regain their place in the Davis Cup World Group after being drawn away to Japan in the playoffs.

The match in September will see Dudi Sela (64), Amir Weintraub (191), along with doubles specialists Jonathan Erlich and Ram, take on a Japanese team that features three players in the top 100, led by Kei Nishikori (17).

Ram said: "This is the most difficult draw we could have got. We'll arrive determined to reach the World Group and I believe we have a chance."
