After a testing 2015/16, Jonathan Adelman hopes for an easier ride, with Zack Gothelf joining him in the dug-out.
Some experienced players have departed but the pool of players at the club with three teams will ensure they remain competitive.
Write them off at your peril!
COMPETITIONS ENTERED:
MGBSFL Division One, Peter Morrison Trophy, Cyril Anekstein Cup
HOPES FOR THE SEASON:
Last year was a very difficult one for the B's, losing stalwarts like David Esterkin for the season with injury and others like Adam Posner and Mike Hershman to migration to the US. The season also coincided with so many weddings and stags that most weeks we struggled to get an XI out. This season we have renewed energy and have reshaped our B's and C's to ensure a nice balance to each group. As this is essentially a new side, we're an unknown quantity, even to ourselves so we will just have to see how quickly and how well we gel.
There’s no question that the very public acquisition strategy of Scrabble this summer has heaped the pressure on them to win the league at a canter. I'm sure Oakwood and Redbridge will feel them can challenge them all the way. As for us, we will aim to be competitive and see where that gets us come the home stretch.
WHAT WILL THE TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON?
We'll try and be competitive in every fixture we play
MANAGERS:
Jonathan Adelman and Zack Gothelf
HOME GROUND:
As usual the club will share home games between the Ark and Brunel
KIT:
Once again we will play in our traditional orange shirts and Royal blue shorts (with a White/Royal blue changed kit!)
SPONSOR:
We are absolutely delighted that the UK's leading loss adjusters and recovery experts Harris Balcombe have renewed their sponsorship for a further two years. They've proved to be great partner at the most successful time in the club's history and we hope that between our three MGBSFL sides we will continue to give them trophies to cheer about and generally much nachas to schlep!
