Season 2016/17: meet the teams - Camden Park

articlemain

Max Saunders is calling for a show of “mental toughness and commitment” at Camden Park this season.

Saunders will spearhead the team in place of Will Castle and he is hoping for a fast start.

"Our ambition is to win the league and why not, we have the talent,” he told JC Sport.

Captain marvel Rob Hershkorn returns for a team that Saunders believe are worth keeping an eye on.

COMPETITIONS ENTERED:
MGBSFL Premier Division, Cyril Anekstein and PM Trophy

HOPES FOR THE SEASON:
Every year we start the season with a large and enthusiastic squad and by December we struggle to get 11 for a game. As the new manager I am hoping to change that. If I do manage to change that, anything is possible. Our ambition is to win the league and why not, we have the talent.

PLAYERS IN & OUT:
Too many to list - we have improved our squad significantly this season. We have always had a strong 11, but for once we have strength in depth, which will serve us well.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
I don't like to single any players out as I believe it is more important to focus on the team. We have a number of players with brilliant individual talent, but I think this season the way we gel and grow as a team will be something to keep an eye on.

WHAT WILL THE TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON:
Our usual style, but hopefully also, this season for once, mental toughness and commitment.

TEAM CAPTAIN:
Rob Hershkorn, captain fantastic

HOME GROUND:
We have moved to Hadley FC's pitch

CLUB COLOURS:
Our usual maroon, black and gold
