Salford ko'd

articlemain

Another battlingperformance by Salford could not prevent them losing to league leaders Kashmir at St Pauls.

Tight bowling by Salford's opening bowlers, Adam Schogger and Yasir Riaz, kept the run rate at less than four an over before a bowling change in the 10th over saw captain Jonny Wineberg pick up the first of his four wickets.

Kashmir's innings closed at 196 for 8 off their 40 overs, a score that should have been within Salford's capacity.

But wickets soon tumbled. Josh Dansky's 19 partnership with Adam Schogger (9) and 24 with Wineberg (13) for the fifth and eighth wickets respectively gave brief
glimmers of hope, but Dansky was eventually bowled for 23 and Salford subsided to 89 all out in 28 overs.
