Ricklow hits the jackpot

articlemain

A superb individual effort from Darryl Ricklow capped a 5-0 win as South Mancunians came from behind to beat Faithfold to move to within a point of top spot in Division One of the Maccabi Masters League.

Adam Barton put Faithfold ahead but Nick Tromans (2), Mark Powell and Barry Abraham added to Ricklow’s strike that saw him complete a run from the halfway line with a chip over the keeper.

Defending champions Brady Maccabi fell behind twice before beating EDRS Stonegrove 4-2. Laurence Myers (3) and Laurence Beck completed the comeback. Mark Kingston was among the EDRS scorers.

Division Two leaders Clayhall A came from three down to draw against in-form Pel City. Spencer Brookner, Richard Chiumento and Adam Greenblatt had put City in pole position but two goals from Brian Deal and a free-kick from Michael Kushner maintained Clayhall’s narrow advantage at the top.

Temple Fortune B beat Ashlodge 2-1 thanks to a strike from Robert Botkai and an own goal.
