Another five-goal salvo from Adam Lavin took South Manchester Sports Club 1st eight points clear at the top of the Manchester Accountants Premier Division after they thumped Manchester Villa 10-3.
South stormed into a 6-0 lead at the break with Villa unable to cope with the strength and power of South's attacking options. Having registered for a fifth time, Lavin was substituted after 60 minutes.
Villa improved during the second half, scoring three times, but South added another four goals with Ben Peppi, Mark Yaffe, Alex Koslover and Toby Levy completing the rout.
South get a break from league duty next week when they travel over the Pennines to play Leeds Maccabi 2nd in the first round of the Peter Morrison Trophy.
