Raiders to start title defence against Redbridge Jewish Care

articlemain

North London Raiders A will start their title defence at home to Redbridge Jewish Care A in the opening weekend of the new MGBSFL season.

L'Orange retained the Premier Division crown last season after securing 12 wins in 16 matches, as well as winning the Cyril Anekstein Cup for a second consecutive double.

Raiders beat Redbridge 4-2 in March, with Liron Mannie firing a hat-trick, while the reverse fixture went RJC's way after NLR forfeited.

Dan Shafron has taken over as manager from Rob Richman and Jonathan Green, with some big name additions expected.

The new-look Lions A will be out to impress against Division One champions Woodford Wanderers, while title hopefuls Oakwood A visit SPEC FC.

Hendon A are also in action, with their fans hoping for a good start in their first competitive outing since the departure of manager David Garbacz. They take on FC Team.

League new boys Finchley City FC host Los Blancos in Division One while Jason Stein's Oakwood B will look to make their intentions clear against Raiders B.

The other new teams also make their bow, with Hertswood Vale hosting Faithfold B, RC UK FC welcome Real Hendon and Mill Hill Dons come up against Simon Linden's new-look Temple Fortune.
