Posh rule out Israeli takeover

articlemain

AN Israeli consortium have been told to forget about completing an £8million takeover of Peterborough United.

According to reports, a group of Israeli investors have expressed an interest in purchasing the League One club.

Peterborough would become the latest English club to be at the hands of overseas owner if the buyout was finalised.

But Posh owner Darragh MacAnthony insists a potential sale is not on the cards.

He said: "There’s always interest in buying a football club. But I don’t want to sell the club."
