Played 4, scored 12 and a hat-trick in every game

Goal machine Avi Markiewicz fired himself into the MGBSFL history books with a fourth consecutive hat-trick for LondonRovers.

Markiewicz, 28 today, continued his remarkable run after making it 12 goals in his last four games with another three in the 5-0 demolition of KS Reunited.

November has been a magical month for Markiewicz whose goals have helped propel Rovers to second in Division Three. He has played starring roles in the wins over Boca Jewniors, Real Sosobad, and Maccabi London Lions Green.

Markiewicz said: "I am doing well at the moment because I am playing in a team where every single person is putting in 100 per cent and are playing for each other and not for themselves.

"My aim is to win the league. London Rovers aim is to win the league."

Chairman Viv Emanuel has issued a hands-off warning after first division Blizzard Storm showed an interest. Storm boss Simon Linden drafted in 10 players last summer, including Ben Ellis and Oli Henry, and thinks Markiewicz could take his team to the Premier Division.

A teacher at Hasmonean High School, Markiewicz has played for Hendon, Faithfold and Harmen, as well as Rapid Banta, for whom he once scored five goals in one game.

He said: "I try to model my game on Rooney and Henry, but I probably end up playing more like Bendtner.

"I take all our corners and free-kicks, but most of my goals have been scored with my right foot. There's been one or two with my left, but no headers. My furthest strike came from about 35 yards and the nearest from a penalty."

Rovers boss Jeremy Brown said: "I'm not quite sure what else I can say about that other than well done to him and the rest of the team for giving him such superb service."

Emanuel commented: "What makes Avi's recent goal-scoring exploits all the more impressive is that all his strikes have been belters."

As for the attention from Blizzard, he said: "Simon Linden should put his money where his mouth is . My house could do with a loft extension."
