Two goals from Daniel Levenfiche plus one from supersub Ben Ellis steered MSFL champions North West Neasden A into the third round of the London FA Sunday Challenge Cup after they beat Albion Manor 3-1 at Bricket Wood.
Levenfiche, last season’s JC MSFL Player of the Year, put the hosts ahead midway through the first half.
The visitors, who won the competition four years ago, equalised with a stunning lob after 55 minutes.
Neasden changed formation, bringing on Ellis for TJ Keterman after 70 minutes. The move paid dividends almost immediately as an exchange involving Danny Cole and Lee Cash saw the latter cross for Ellis to convert.
Levenfiche wrapped up the tie five minutes from time with a cool finish from an Ellis through-ball.
Albion Manor finished with 10 men after a player was sent off following two cautions. They also had their keeper red carded for foul and abusive language after the final whistle.
NWN joint-manager Daniel Fox said: “We didn’t panic when they equalised and I’m very happy with the overall performance.”
Neasden will play Vista or Dees in the third round.
London Maccabi Lions A crashed out of the London Challenge Cup following a 2-1 defeat by Ground Hoppers. Guy Morris netted for the Lions.
