JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- BENJI WEINBERGER - picked the ball up five yards outside of our own box from a misplaced Hendon free-kick, and took it upon himself to run the whole pitch, beat multiple Hendon players with his silky dribbling and finished cooly into the bottom right hand corner
- DANIEL FATTAL (ML Lions B) - stunning strike from 25 yards
- GIDEON BARTH (Hendon B) - brought down a high ball with a brilliant first touch, played a neat one-two with Benni Sluckis and then finished clinically into the top corner
- BAR HARIELY (FC Team A) - a 25-yard screamer into the top left-hand corner. Two goalkeepers would still not have been able to stop it!
- BEN BELL (Athletic Bilbaum) - opened the scoring when a visionary 50-yard pass from Seb Silverman dropped 20 yards from goal. Bell controlled it with his left as he took it away from the last defender before lobbing the keeper from the edge of the area with his right
- EDWARD GREEN (Athletic Bilbaum) - controlled a goal-kick around the halfway line, turned and ran towards goal. He broke through a few challenges before holding off the final defender and slotting home into the right hand corner of the goal

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "To be fair, there were three goals in the game which wouldn't look out of place on the MOTD goal of the month competition"
- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - "Although it was a completely different 11 to last week’s Lions cup side (with the same team name), we cruised home to a comfortable victory once we got hold of the ball and used our pace/power down the flanks"
- JON JACOBS (Redbridge A) - "No excuses offered , we were not good enough today and hope Hendon can keep the Maccabi Southern Football League flag alive in the Peter Morrison Sunday National Cup if and when they inevitably face the Lions Saturday team at Wingate"
- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "Redbridge this year and the final score is two wins apiece which is probably just about right. We wish them all the best in their quest to catch Raiders in the league – I hope they do it"
- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "A few punters have cleaned up on the Dani Dennison 1-0 at 66/1. He took his goal very well putting it into the roof of the net"

PETER MORRISON TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL
FEHLER BLOWS REDBRIDGE AWAY
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 0 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 4
Dovi Fehler was the hat-trick hero as Hendon completed a cup double over Redbridge to keep alive their hopes of silverware alive with a crushing 4-0 success at Fairlop.
Fehler (3) and super-sub Zac Lewis secured the win to set up a semi-final showdown against second division North London Raiders C in a result made easier by the absence of in-form RJC star Sam Sollosi.
Hendon manager David Garbacz told JC Sport: "In what was a true season defining game we turned in easily our best performance of the season; from 1 to 13 everyone was brilliant today – there was a real determination amongst the boys to get the right result today and in the end it was far more comfortable than most people would have predicted and to be honest it could have been more."
RJC boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "We were not good enough today and hope Hendon can keep the Maccabi Southern Football League flag alive in the Peter Morrison Sunday National Cup if and when they inevitably face the Lions Saturday team at Wingate."
DC Prediction: Redbridge 2 Hendon 1

HARMEN LIMP OVER THE LINE
HARMEN 4 BLIZZARD STORM 1
A deadly double from Daniel Green helped Harmen cruise past Blizzard Storm.
Further strikes from Sam Castle and Brad Sharp added the gloss.
Harmen joint-manager Oli Leslie told JC Sport: "With not much to play for except pride we definitely struggled for motivation and a poor first half saw us level at half time. We stepped it up in the second half, but in truth from start to finish this was our weakest performance of the season."
DC Prediction: Harmen 3 Blizzard 1

An MLL spokesman said: "It was not our day but it looks like we will end up mid-table, and that’s probably what the season deserved."

Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "One word: shambles. We could talk all day about bad ref decisions and missing key players (and finishing the game with less due to injuries and absentees) but it doesn't change anything - they were the better team 10 fold."
