BRILLIANT BRADY PUT SCRABBLE TO THE SWORD
BRADY MACCABI 8 SCRABBLE FC 1
Division One class told as Brady Maccabi, inspired by another Reiss Mogilner treble, eased into round three with an eight-goal demolition of second division table-toppers Scrabble FC at Rowley Lane. Nathan Harrod (2), Daniel Harrod and Joel Reuben added the gloss.

Elliot Espinoza grabbed a consolation for Scrabble.

Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport: "The score line suggests a wider margin in terms of play but does not do our overall performance much justice and my team gave 100 per cent for 90 minutes."

Garbacz told JC Sport: "All credit to FC Team who really had us concerned at half time and showed some good qualities, but I was really proud of the way we turned things around."

Bilbaum moved into the next round after cruising past Catford & Bromley.

Strikes from Julius Judah (2), Eliot Kindler, Jacob Brunner (2) and Ben Bell.

Jeff Gotch pulled one back by rifling home a cutback on the edge of the box into the top corner, with Tal Cohen claiming Catford's second with a scrambled effort from close range.

Baums manager Nick Shinder told JC Sport: “Our hard work and endeavour created lots of goal-scoring opportunities and we look forward to the next round and continuing our cup run.”

Gotch told JC Sport: "We produced a spirited performance but the best team won on the day."

RAIDERS EDGE PAST L'EQUIPE
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 3 L’EQUIPE 2
Holders Raiders A were given an almighty scare by L'Equipe who produced an excellent performance before going down in a five-goal thriller thanks to strikes from David Rhodes, Alex Kaye and Jordan Marks.

Andy Smith accounted for both L'Equipe goals.

NLR boss Rob Richman told JC Sport: "We weren't at our most convincing today and a lot of credit must got to L'Equipe for that. Our match sharpness still isn't quite there but I'm confident that we will improve as we move to the winter months."

L'Equipe player-manager Nick Stern told JC Sport: "In summary, all 14 men were brilliant. Though a moral victory is not something I normally count, coming so close to beating the reigning champions on their own pitch certainly counts as a victory in my eyes. Everyone who turned up should be proud of themselves and put in a shift like never before."

FIVE-STAR OAKWOOD 'A JOY TO WATCH'
BLIZZARD STORM 2 OAKWOOD A 5
Braces from Guy Helman and Dave Woolman plus a penalty from Kyle Bentwood eased Oakwood past Premier Division rivals Blizzard Storm in a 5-2 win.

Aron Luftig and Avi Markowitz registered for Blizzard.

Oakwood joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "We dominated from start to finish and it really should have been a lot more than the 5-2 score-line. As soon as we scored the first goal, we looked like the only winners.

Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "It was never going to be easy with so many players away but the boys did ever so well to recover from 4-0 down to get themselves back into the game second half."

AT LAST, FAITHFOLD GET IT RIGHT
BOCA JEWNIORS 1 FAITHFOLD A 9
Faithfold's Premier Division woes were put to one side as they dished out a 9-1 mauling to second division Boca Jewniors.

SHAI DAVIDI led the way with a fab four-goal salvo, while there were also goals for Craig Cole, Joel Lassman, Daryl Phillips and two own goals.

Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "Unfortunately this match turned out to be very much a one-sided affair that was much feared in the lead up to this game. In a match where we were missing a few key players, we were outclassed across the pitch and fair play to Faithfold for bouncing back to form against us.

"Never before have I been involved in a 10-goal game, we scored five of them, and we lost by 9 goals to 1 - was rather tempted to nominate a couple of the bullet header own goals for goal of the week! Hopefully next week we can score them in the right end of the pitch."

DC Prediction: Boca 1 Faithfold 2

FAITHFOLD THE CLUB WAS THE LOSER, SAYS SHOOMAN
FAITHFOLD B 2 FAITHFOLD C 0
A deadly double from Ben Zloof earned Faithfold B victory over Faithfold C but losing boss Rob Shooman was not happy.

He told JC Sport: "Apart from the ridiculous situation of multi club teams playing each other so early in the competition, the game was really good with absolutely no incidents between the players at all, quite a change for these types of games.

"It was competitive and fair with both sides making several chances, the difference the B-team took two of theirs , both scored by Ben Zloof , the first a penalty and the second a peach. Well done to the B 's but Faithfold - the club, was the loser today - to have multi teams play each other in the early rounds is ridiculous but the rules are the rules and I feel sorry for the players."

DC Prediction: Faithfold B 2 Faithfold C 3

TEAM NEED EXTRA HELP TO SEE OFF SPEC
FC TEAM A 3 SPEC FC 1 AET
Premier Division FC Team A needed extra-time to overcome first division SPEC FC. A deadly double from Shim Bensoor and another from David Joseph Cohen took Team through.

FC Team boss Ben Gilbey told JC Sport: "It was good to get the win and progress through to the next round after a really hard game. SPEC FC came with a game-plan and really sat in behind us, making it very hard.

"They got the first goal and nerves began to creep in, but we managed to get the goal back and take it to extra-time. In extra-time players legs started to go and the extra class that we have shined through, leading to us getting another 2 goals.

"Credit to SPEC FC for making it really hard for us. Whilst it wasn't the best performance, I was pleased with the character that we showed as a team, when it wasn't going well for us, we stuck together as a team and got through it. On to the next one!"

Three more goals from that man JACOB RICHLER KLEIMAN saw Oakwood B continue their excellent start to the season with a 3-2 win over Lions B for whom Eli Cohen and Daniel Fattal registered.

Oaks manager Jason Stein told JC Sport: "Today was a big day for a half dozen players who were either making debuts or first starts of the season and they came through it with flying colours. That shows the strength of the squad."

Lions boss Sam Marchant told JC Sport: "On another day, we win that match. There are plenty of positives for us to take from the game and it’s very promising for us as a squad to be able to compete well against higher opposition. GLORIOUS GREEN INSPIRES RAIDERS
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 4 WOODFORD WANDERERS 3
Raiders B were back to their best as goals from Josh Green (2), Danny Bloom and Jacob Gold saw them come away from Fairlop victorious for the second time this season.

Tom Alexander (2) and James Ryan scored for Woodford.

Raiders boss Jonathan Adelman told JC Sport: "Our first half was dynamic and clinical, our second half was really gritty and I felt we were good value for the win."

Woodford boss Daryl Kay told JC Sport: "A poor start cost us yet again today. We battled well until the end of the game, but gave ourselves too much to do after going 2-0 down so early on. The boys have a couple weeks to recharge the batteries, before we head up north for the Peter Morrison game against Leeds."

FOUR-MIDABLE HENDON BACK ON TRACK
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B 4 FC TEAM C 1
Hendon returned to winning ways after their poor result last week with an impressive 4-1 victory over FC Team C. Benni Sluckis hit two, with Jono Nesbitt also continuing his excellent start to the season with a double.

Hendon manager Adam Glekin was not at the game, but was delighted with the result. "After the disastrous result last week, it was key for us to get back on track quickly and we've certainly done that. Although we've played more games than most, I'm delighted to be second in the table especially as we're notoriously slow starters."
