JC star man: Stephen Peck (Flixton)

DC Prediction: AFC Flixton 3 Hendon 1 - as David Garbacz says, the absence of Ben Lauffer is huge for Hendon. Midfield will be the key area for me on Sunday, and I can see Flixton's big-hitters bossing it on the big Oldham pitch. I also can't see Dovi Fehler getting much change out of Michael Sacks, but at the other end, Leor Sidle has been superb in his first season at Flixton who I expect to win by a couple of goals.

RESULTS & FIXTURES

FC TEAM A vs NORTH WEST NEASDEN
The MGBSFL season draws to a close on Sunday as Neasden go in search of the point they require to survive when they travel to FC Team.

Stirling Kay’s boys picked up a crucial draw against Hendon last week and if they can serve up a repeat performance it would send Maccabi London Lions Blue down.

Kay came away from the Hendon game frustrated as his team missed numerous chances, especially in the first half. In the end, strikes from Dan Orgel and Adam Arnold earned them a 2-2 draw in a game where midfielder Craig Cole was the star man.

Looking ahead to the big match, NWN gaffer Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "Sunday is our cup final - quite simply if we win or draw we stay up.

"We were botttom at Chanukah, cut adrift from the teams above us. We were beaten 7-1 by FC Team and we were all but relegated in everyone's mind.

"Since then we've reached a cup semi-final and the quarter-finals of another, and we now stand one point away from a most fantastic comeback. And when you consider all the problems we have had this year in fielding a side, it's been a fantastic effort by every one.

"However, we do know that FC Team will be a very hard game. They also had a slow start to the season and have had a very good second half, so we know we will have to be at our best and we know they will do there best to stop us.

"Like against Hendon, reputations will mean nothing on Sunday. We will try to make it a very uncomfortable 90 minutes for Team and if we play with the same application and determination and take our chances, we would of completed a most unlikely comeback.

Confirmed fifth place finishers, FC Team won an 11-goal thriller against Harmen last week. They have responded superbly since the annihilation at the hands of Redbridge, including a victory over newly-crowned champions Raiders.

Shim Bensoor is on the course to win the May Player of the Month award. The boy just can’t stop scoring at the minute and he’s definitely someone NWN will need to pay special attention to.

Indeed Bensoor bagged a brace when Team destroyed NWN 7-2 in October and the boys in yellow and blue will arrive confident of completing what would be their second league double.

Ahead of kick-off, Team head coach Ben Gilbey told JC Sport; "It's the final game of the season this week and after securing fifth last week, all we are aiming to do now is finish on as many points as possible.

"A win would mean we finish one point behind Harmen and, all-in-all, complete a successful season in my opinion, also claiming the clubs highest Premier League position ever.

"I know a number of the Neasden players and I know it is a massive game for them on the weekend as they need a win to stay up. We will certainly be making sure it is a competitive game and will be as driven to win the game as every other game we have played in this season. It should be a cracker."

I'm predicting an open and entertaining affair, with chances aplenty and NWN coming away with what they need thanks to the heroics of keeper Steve Murad.

JC team news: Team are at full-strength on Sunday apart from David James Cohen. He has got 19 assists to his name this year and "it's a shame he won't be able to get number 20. He will be missed".

NWN will give late fitness tests to Rick Harris (leg) and Michael Field (groin). They welcome back Dan Sherman.

Venue - Meadow Park, KO - 10am

JC star man: Steve Murad (NWN)

DC Prediction: Team 2 NWN 2
