PETER MORRISON TROPHY SEMI-FINAL

HAROLDEANS 4 MILL HILL DONS 0

Haroldeans have reached the final for the second consecutive season as they eventually wore down Division Two team Mill Hill Dons 4-0 at Childwall Sports Centre.

The Dons held out until the 51st minute, when Max Barnett opened the scoring, before the Liverpudlians ran in three more goals from Maxim Green, Sean Cooper and Jack Bookey, despite the best efforts of Dons goalkeeper Oli Burchell.

Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "I couldn’t be more proud of my boys. To get to this stage was incredible achievement in itself, and they gave it everything on Sunday. If it wasn’t for the returning Oliver Burchell in goal, Haroldeans would have found the net on several other occasions, he was truly superb. Speaking of superb, that’s what Haroldeans were today, a real proper football team which even as the opposition manager was a pleasure to watch. I would say that they are the best team we have faced as a club and we wish them all the best in the final."

HENDON UNITED SPORTS 6 LOS CAMDEN A 1

DOVI FEHLER was the hat-trick hero as Hendon United completed the double after coming from a goal down to crush Los Camden 6-1.

Further strikes from top-scorer Rocky Spitzer, Simon Peterman and Moses Seitler got the celebrations under way as Hendon retained the title.

Victorious Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "Well, we’ve done what we set out to do. Double winners! I’m so proud of every single member of my squad, we’ve worked extremely hard this season and despite having a squad so depleted with injuries that we’ve had 11-13 men for most of the season we’ve consistently and constantly played some lovely football and ground out results."

Camden boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "‘Today was a tough game, with three players not turning up before kick off we had to play the champions elect with 10 men, where as the absentees were let us down I cannot fault the determination and efforts of the players that played. Congradulations to Hendon who were most consistent team throughout, the league is won through keeping your best players fit and available and they have done so."

MACCABI LONDON LIONS 1 HMH 1

HMH were left to rue missed chances as they failed to see off a 10-man Lions team at the Hive.

HMH were reduced to ten men in the first 20 minutes as following the sending off of Sam Monjack for retaliation. Charlie Cohen put Lions in front with a top corner finish in the first half on 30 minutes before HMH top-scorer Oscar Wagner equalised 15 minutes from time.

Both teams had chances to win it, only to be denied by outstanding saves from the goalkeeper.

Lions boss Max Kyte told JC Sport: "I’m super proud of all the boys and given the fact we were with 10 men all game, it’s a great result to get a point."

HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "We had not played or trained for over a month, and it showed. We may have had possession and territorial domination but we lacked the fluidity and cutting edge we have shown on many occasions this season. On another day the score could've been very different."

JEWDINESE 2 NORTH LONDON GALAXY 2

A last-minute header from Zack Collins ensured Jewdinese sealed a third place finish after a four-goal thriller against nearest rivals North London Galaxy.

Scott Oldstein opened the scoring for 'Nese with a goal of the week contender, before Galaxy, who finished the game with nine players, rallied superbly to lead 2-1 with goals from Josh Cohen and Dylan Kaye after Galaxy lost both Nick Barnett and Dan Brennan for dissent.

Galaxy boss Luke Lewis told JC Sport: "We were the much the better team throughout and if the pitch were on 3G, there’s no doubt the game would’ve been dead and buried. Our next game is the final, which I think most of the boys were thinking about already, so we’ll be looking to go all guns blazing and make sure we lift some silverware."
