Hopes for the season To be more competitive in the league and win one of the cup competitions To win more games than we lose, to be competitive in every match, for everyone at the club to enjoy the season, to win a trophy To compete in all competitions and win some silverware after a disappointing return last year Being in the top division means we will have incredibly tough matches every week. We will take our season game by game. We hope to consolidate our position in the top flight To continue the Lions’ tradition of last year and win silverware. We’ll be aiming high To challenge for silverware in all competitions To retain the title and go much further in the Anekstein and Morrison. Also to test ourselves in the County Cup Competing at the top of the table, but to have more fun this time. There will be more of an emphasis on the strength and unity of the squad this season
Players in Rob Cohen and Jordan Nathan have both returned from University. Harry Fine, Stanley Offord and Zac Skry have joined and ex-skipper James Joseph returns from a loan spell in Chicago Dan Orgel, Danny Sherman, Theo Azouz Josh Bentley, Paul Bentley, Ben Lauffer, Larry Cohen, Mordy Weiller, Dudi Edreyi We have brought in only a few players, one being David Nezri from North London Raiders A. The squad has certainly become smaller, with about eight players departing Andrei Grayson, Jordan Levy (from Edgware Town), Jack Mattey, Akiva Levin , Max Mizrahi, Sam Hamerton (promoted from youth), Alex Levack, Jamie Cohen, Declan Green, Adam Myeroff, Tony Gold, Matty Kleinman We have strengthened where necessary and hope to bring in our last two transfer targets before the season gets under way Tom Cantor, Toby Levy, Joe Botchin, Josh Cuby Charlie Laderman, Pat Laderman, Harrison Grant, Adam Shafron
Players out: Skipper Daniel Harrod has moved into semi-retirement and the long-serving Scott Benson has moved upstairs into the role Director of Football Will Castle None   None Jake Doffman, Nick Lewis (Edgware Town), Jono Rochwerger Guy Helman Ryan Cole, Daryl Rubin, Matt Berkley (all to Fairlop), with Zack Neiman going to Raiders, Dean Nyman
Ones to watch You should watch out for everyone, we are going to spring some surprises this season The partnership between Orgel and Sherman is definitely one to watch Zack Lewis, Larry Cohen, Ben Lauffer, Avi Korman Benji Weinberger, Nathan Anders, Adam Abadi Akiva Levin and Jack Mattey — two players who are fully deserving of their call-up to men’s football from the Lions youth set-up,,highly technical players who will dance their way past defenders. The Bale and Ronaldo of Jewish football Ben Joseph was a huge miss last season and is a welcome return after nearly 16 months out. We also missed Josh Pistol last year. It’s great to have him back Botchin - new goalkeeper signed from Leeds Maccabi. Levy — a huge addition from South Manchester, an excellent player. Cantor, the brother of Sam, has had an excellent pre-season and will add some much needed cover at the back Daniel Garfinkle — the fastest player in the MGBSFL — will come to the fore in what will be his breakout year. He will be aiming to score 30 goals
Manager(s): Elliott Dagul, Josh Dagul and Joel Nathan Stirling Kay Greg Corin will be player-manager (until David Garbacz gets bored of with breakfast with his wife and walking the dog on a Sunday morning!) Samuel MarchantAssistant-manager: Sammy Kingston, Physio: Jeremy Hasson James Gershfield Dan Shafron, Rob Richman (Head of Logistics) Dan Kristall, Adam Levine, David Cohen Jon Jacobs will be assisted by Craig Sandford and Danny Hakimi

What will your team bring to the league this season? Goals galore Surprise results A perfect combination of youth and experience with a good dose of quality We hope to be a team which is extremely tough to break down and one which is clinical with its chances A mix of,winners with an influx of youth A much improved first aid kit and a Josh Pistol fan club! Hopefully building on last year’s title success. We expect to have a much bigger go in the cup competitions and strive for more success and consistency Proper utilisation of the rolling substitutions and making sure we keep the squad together
