Meet the teams: Maccabi London Lions B

articlemain

Several people have already tipped Lions B for great things this season but manager Sam Marchant is keen to keep his feet on the ground ahead of his first season at the helm.

COMPETITIONS ENTERED: We have entered the Cyril Anekstein and Peter Morrison, of course along with the MSFL.

HOPES FOR SEASON: The most important thing for us is focusing on our first match. Winning that, and then progressing from there.

SQUAD ADDITIONS: We’ve conducted our business quietly and efficiently, strengthening particular areas of the squad which needed just that. The chairman has invested heavily in a fresh, new, innovative management team. The signings we’ve made will give the team a very different look to last season. A winning look.

WHICH ONE EXCITES YOU MOST? All our new signings bring individual and exciting attributes to the squad.

PLAYER OUT: In order to bring in new signings, a few players had to make way. That’s the nature of this sport and the will of the club to improve.

MAIN RIVALS: The next team we face. They will always be our strongest opponents and the ones we need to prepare for and focus on.

CAPTAIN: Ed Brafman is captain, while Josh Bloom is vice captain.

HOME GROUND: Rowley Lane

WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON? Flair, power, and most importantly, passion
