Meet the teams: London Rovers

articlemain

Jeremy Brown is confident London Rovers are equipped to deal with the challengers that double promotion has thrown up.

COMPETITIONS ENTERED: This season we will only take part in the CA cup as well as the league competition.

HOPES FOR THE SEASON: Due to the restructure of the league this season, we find ourselves playing in a more advanced division than expected. We had a fantastic season last year and as a new team we were hoping to progress as standard. Division one has some very good experienced teams who play an advanced brand of football and we now have to make sure we are able to compete with that. Our aim initially has to be to establish ourselves in that division and make sure we stay as close to the top half of the table as possible.

SQUAD ADDITIONS: We have signed David Green as our new no. 1. David is one of the best keepers I have seen during my time in Jewish football and he will be a key addition this year. Phil Braham has also joined from King Crown.

WHICH NEW ADDITIONS EXCITE YOU MOST?I think we will see exciting things from Josh Bharier, Yisroel Lewis and Aron Luftig and we hope to see Avi Markiewicz in the same form as last season to help fire us to a successful season.

MAIN RIVALS: Our biggest challenge will be FC Team B and Raiders B who I expect to be the two front runners for the title. They are both exceptional teams with fantastic players.

WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON? We will bring our strengths which are our team spirit and good balance between experience and youth. We have some very talented players. We will be difficult to beat give opponents lots to worry about going forward.

CAPTAIN: Adam Kay continues as club captain
SPONSOR: We continue our sponsorship with Benjamin Stevens
HOME GROUND: We will play our home games at West Hendon
