COMPETITIONS ENTERED: Harmen have entered the MSFL Premier Division, Peter Morrison Cup and the CA cup.
HOPES FOR SEASON: Last season was a season of rebuilding for Harmen. We finished fourth which was a slight disappointment and reached a cup semi and quarter-final. This season anything less than the league title and a cup final will be deemed as a failure by the Harmen chairman and management team.
SQUAD ADDITIONS: The Harmen scouts have been busy this summer adding real quality to the squad and are still working hard to add some late additions. The deals already done are:
• Adam Arnold- signed from Neasden – one of the most exciting young players in the league. Was a tough fight to get his signature
• Alex Taylor – signed from Faithfold – class centre half who will be looking to make our defence water tight
• Nick Smith – signed from Faithfold – silky smooth Smith can play at centre half or in the middle of the park
• Johnny Haik – signed from Faithfold – pace to burn and a serious grafter. Class addition to the forward line
• Aviel Schwarz – free agent – a MSFL legend who’s name speaks for itself. Will slip into the Harmen midfield like he has played for us for years.
• Elliott Stern – free agent – can play anywhere on the right hand side. Great feet and an eye for goal.
• Darren Stern – free agent – holding midfielder who always finds a teammates' feet.
• Max Hassle – free agent – can play anywhere along the back four. Big and strong, centre forwards should be scared!!
WHICH ONE EXCITES YOU MOST? All signings are very exciting however the talent of Adam Arnold cannot be ignored.
PLAYER OUT: There haven’t been too many exits, however Ben Weinberg has signed a year loan deal with Brady to get his fitness back. We wish him well and hope he is a huge success there. He has been a massive part of Harmen for three years and will be missed. We hope to see him in a Harmen shirt soon.
ONES TO WATCH: Watch the team not individuals!
MAIN RIVALS: As always Hendon and Raiders will be strong and up there challenging. Our bogey team Oakwood look like they have strengthened over the summer and look strong as well. The league looks strong and we don’t expect any easy games.
WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON? The key to Harmen this season is strength in depth. We have two players in every position all good enough to compete at the highest level of Jewish football. We will bring a good style of football and 100 per cent commitment into every game.
CAPTAIN: James Gershfield will lead the troops. His leadership qualities and goal scoring ability is so important to Harmen.
SPONSOR: We would like to thank Platters deli for their support this season. The best deli in London – ‘Platters, were good food matters’
HOME GROUND: Harmen will play at Hadley FC this season. The ground has been fully refurbished and looking good for our passing style of football.
