Manchester Maccabi Yellow lifted themselves off the bottom of the MJSL title after ending their winless streak.

The new boys have found life tough in their first season. But Andy Hatton’s men finally had something to smile about after beating Oakhill Lions – at the 12th time of asking.

Simon Mann, Nathan Pitt an Moishe Hasid finally got them over the line.

Oakhill were undone the late blitz after Max Berg looked to have secured the students a draw.

Oakhill boss Max Levy said: “The game could have gone either way. They scored a fine second goal to take the lead and it took the stuffing out of us.

"There was little time to come back at that late stage."
