Maccabi Masters League review: October 22

Brady Maccabi A, Chigwell Athletic, EHRS Stonegrove and Hendon Harriers toasted victories in the latest round of matches in the Maccabi Masters Football League.

Maccabi London Lions A were thwarted in their efforts to top of Division One as they suffered a first defeat, at the hands of Brady A.

Goals from Alex Bourne, Mark Wagman, Graeme Grossman and Shnayer Shapiro earned Brady a 4-2 victory. Aviel Schwarz and Michael Abraham netted for Lions.

And Lions had to surrender second spot to Chigwell as Jonathan Swead, Richard Slater, Glenn Davis and Scott Warren scored in their 4-1 win over HMH. Neil Kochane converted a second-half penalty for HMH.

In Division Two, two goals from Ashley Davidson, one each from Dean Schulberg and Marc Morris and an own goal gave EHRS a 5-3 win over Glenthorne to make it five wins out of five and extend their lead at the top of the table.

Hendon Harriers secured their first win of the season as they beat Brady B 3-1 with goals from Ian Sumray, Paul Herszaft and a penalty from Ilan Cohen. Sacha Alter replied for Brady.
