Maccabi London Lions secured a league and cup double following a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory that saw them lift the Challenge Cup against Harvester.

Having already clinched the league title, the Lions held their nerve to win 5-3 in a nail-biting shoot-out after the final had ended 1-1 after extra time.

Manager Nigel Burns, who is Director of Youth Football at the club, and his assistant Joel Phillips, were ecstatic after adding this latest piece of silverware to an extremely impressive list. Under the duo, the Lions have won three consecutive league championships as well as a hat-trick of Challenge Cup successes. The Lions team sealed the U9 double and U10 treble.

Burns told JC Sport: "We are all so proud and delighted for the whole squad on this latest achievement – they truly are a special bunch of boys with a very special talent."

LIONS: Scott Leslie, Ben Werter, Moshi Benaim, Brandon Roach, Sam Goldberg, Oli Kaye, Oliver White, Joe Abrahams, Ben Barnett, Jason Burns, Dylan Phillips
