Josh Kennet and Max Kyte were among the scorers as London Lions registered a comfortable victory at Chipperfield.

The Lions traveled to picturesque Chipperfield village to play mid-table opposition. A less-than-flat pitch was compensated by a good playing surface.

The best early move saw Zac Rose pick out Kennet and his cross found the head of Kyte who put his header the wrong side of the left post.

With Andy Glynne playing alongside Josh Pistol, the defence looked solid but goalkeeper Reuben Rabstein still had to be alert to make a good save midway through the half.

Lions picked up the pace and Kyte and Kennet both saw good efforts hit the inside of the posts only to see their efforts agonisingly travel along the goal-line but somehow stayed out.

The visitors forged ahead a minute into the second half when a probing run from left-back by Oli Craig was stopped by a cynical foul, and Kennet this time found the back of the next and the bottom right corner.

Five minutes later Austin Lipman and Adam Arnold combined, with Arnold playing a clever ball into Kyte who time made no mistake.

2-0 up, Adam Lipman and Jake Rinsler bossed the centre of the park and Lions seemed determined to have a clean sheet.
But they still pressed and more chances came and went. With 20 minutes to go Kennet outpaced the home defence yet again and his cross hit the far post and this time hit the Chipperfield keeper and ricocheted off his shoulder into the net.

It was good to see Nick Landesberg and Will Beresford back in the squad and Beresford slotted in as if he had never been away when he replaced Adam Lipman.

Lions boss Andy Landesberg said: "A good team performance and now the trip to Bovingdon on Tuesday night will be the next test of a long season."
