Levine through to round three

Jesse Levine marched into the third round of the men’s singles at Wimbledon after wining a five-set thriller against Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas.

Having beaten 14th seed Marat Safin in the opening round, Levine, 21, won 6-2, 6-1, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3.

He is scheduled to meet Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland in the third round on Saturday.

The winner will meet third seed Andy Murray or Viktor Troicki.

Dudi Sela flies the flag for Israel with a clash against Tommy Robredo on Court 3.

Andy Ram, Scott Lipsky and in second round the men’s doubles. Seventh seed Ram and Max Mirnyi play Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchit Ratiwatana.

Lipsky and Eric Butorac take on Andrei Pavel and Horia Tecau.

Having bowed out of the ladies singles, Shahar Peer and Gisela Dulko meet 13th seed Zi Yan and Jie Zheng.
