Jesse Levine believes he has a fighting chance of surprising eighth seed Martin Juan Del Potro when the pair meet on Centre Court on Thursday.
A first-round winner over Guido Pella, the Canadian is relishing being first up on the showpiece court at Wimbledon.
"I know I'll have to move him around to stand a chance of winning," Levine told JC Sport.
"The grass gives us small guys a chance, as the bigger guys struggle to move around.
"He's beaten me a couple of times in the past, but I'll give it my best shot."
Later on Thursday, Levine and Vasek Pospisil begin their Doubles campaign against Lukas Dlouhy and Rajeev Ram on Court 5.
And Israel's Jonathan Erlich and Daniele Bracciali of Italy are in action against fourth seeds Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek on Court 7.
