Adam Lee is relishing his third managerial job in the Ryman League Division One North after taking over at Potters Bar Town.

Lee, 44, has been out of football since leaving Enfield Town, where he was joint-manager, in September. Prior to that he managed Wingate & Finchley.

He said: “I’m delighted to be back and looking forward to the challenge.”

Lying 15th in the table, Lee has targeted four more wins to help consolidate the team’s position in the league. “We need to stabilise things for the time being,” he said. “I never take anything for granted and know that we need to secure a few more wins. I’m confident we’ll be OK.”

The former Team GB Maccabiah boss has spent the last three months “watching games and keeping my hand in.

“For me, location is important. Everything felt right about this. I want to give the club more of a community feel and the board are fully supportive. We are not dictated by finances. I plan to consolidate and bring in my own players. We have a good crop of young, hungry players but need a bit of fine-tuning and I plan to introduce some experience. I have already signed Hendon keeper Richard Wilmot on loan.”

By coincidence, Lee’s first match was a 4-1 defeat against Wingate, taking charge just hours after flying back from a family holiday to America.

The father-of-three feels that he has nothing to prove from his time at Wingate.

“I have my own hunger and desire to do well and the people I will have around me at the club want the same.”
Potters Bar Town chairman Mike Waller said: “We are lucky, at this stage of the season, to be able to take on a manager like Adam Lee. He has considerable managerial experience and knowledge of football at this level, knows the league, knows the players and can help us build for the future.”
