Kosky to assistant Landesberg in Open Football at Maccabiah Games

Nathan Kosky is confident his winning mentality can help Team GB’s Open Football squad achieve big things at the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel. next summer.

Kosky has been appointed assistant-manager to the GB squad and he will work closely with boss Andy Landesberg.

He has enjoyed great success on and off the pitch – winning several honours along the way with Scrabble FC and London Lions.

He was a highly-regarded striker who featured in the inaugural London Lions team and scored the decisive goal in the club’s first-ever competitive match.

Since hanging up his boots, Kosky has ventured into management and coach and he is also a committee member at Rowley Lane.

He also held the post of Commercial Director at Coventry City FC in the Football League Championship for two years.

Kosky, said: It is actually hard to put my emotions into words but I know it will be an incredible experience which I am determined to enjoy and succeed at in equal measure."

"Andy and I have different strengths that allow us to complement one another as a team, but we share a passion for the Maccabiah Games - a belief in doing things properly, plus a huge desire to win.

"I am very pleased about the way things are shaping up both on and off the field already and I am very excited to see the footballing ability on show in the upcoming trials in Arkley on May 8.
