Kay replaces Goldman at NWN

Stirling Kay has been appointed manager of North West Neasden after Andrew Goldman stepped down due to other commitments.

Goldman bowed out with a 7-0 victory over Hendon United Sports Club B and leaves the club lying fourth in the MGBSFL Division One table.

A club spokesman told JC Sport: "Andrew has done a great job so far and the club is in very good shape going forward this season. It's a shame to see him leave, but we thank him for all he has done.

Kay has a wealth of managerial experience - including a stint at Redbridge Jewish Care - and is already familiar with the majority of the squad.

The spokesman continued: "It was a natural decision to take, and we are excited about the rest of the season under his leadership," said a statement from the club.

In an exclusive interview with JC Sport, Kay commented: "Although much has been said regarding Andrew for the time and effort he has put in, I myself would like to thank him for putting himself forward. He leaves us with a young, hungry, talented squad in a good position.

"I have managed a lot of the boys before in my spells in charge of Redbridge and look forward to starting this week with the big cup tie against Brady."

NWN's Steve Murad commentedport: "Hopefully Stirling will galvanise the lads into putting in a great performance against Brady in the cup on Sunday.

"We played really well last week in the 7-0 win against Hendon, and if we improve on that again then we have as good a chance as any in getting a result."
